This site introduces you to the Preferred Partnership between
Sail for Education (SAIL) and Northcentral University (NCU).

This partnership allows SAIL participants the unique opportunity to experience job-embedded learning that is immediately applicable to their work, opportunity for state-required continuing education and scholarship toward credits for either the Ed.D. or Ph.D. in NCU’s Education programs.

Participants engaged in the SAIL 2 year professional development program have their SAIL work applied to NCU’s Educational Leadership specialization.

NCU was selected by SAIL as a Preferred Educational Partner for many reasons; some are listed below:

• NCU is a regionally accredited (North Central Association of Colleges and Schools) online university that chooses NOT to require residency or travel of any nature affiliated with pursuing the degree. All course work is completed through the Internet!
• NCU provides CHOICES! You can pursue either the Ph.D. or Ed.D. with specialization in Educational Leadership with NCU’s School of Education. Your specialization will be noted on both your transcript and diploma.
• NCU provides you with a dynamic support team from enrollment through graduation. YOU are the center of the Teaching and Learning Experience.

• Your academic advisor guides you through your degree program.
• You have access to the SAIL/NCU partnership contact person throughout your program.
• You receive training in EDR7000 - Educational Research Strategies that covers APA style and how to appropriately conduct research for information to integrate into your assignments for your courses.
• You can conduct dissertation research aligned to your SAIL program.
• You are the focus of NCU’s education model. NCU’s highly qualified and experienced faculty mentors proceed through a rigorous selection and ongoing training process. NCU is committed to its Learners receiving an academically sound education in a collegial environment.
• You have access to the Electronic Learning Resource Center (ELRC) providing you with access to databases, libraries, Internet and research guides in an easy-to-use format. The ELRC staff answers resource questions and provides one-on-one assistance.
• You can access NCU’s technical staff for computer, Internet, and other communication related assistance.
• You can take the entire 12 week term to complete each course (Research and Dissertation courses are 16 weeks) OR you can complete sooner to fit your schedule.

Scholarship Information — all monies paid to SAIL for Education. There is a one time application fee of $250. The SAIL two-year Program is $2000 per year ($4000) and accounts for 18 NCU credits. (Please note Grant, Title, or other professional development funds may be used to offset the cost of the SAIL Program.) The remaining 33 doctoral credits cost $475 per credit ($15,675). An additional one time dissertation fee is $1600. Total program cost = $21,525 exclusive of textbooks.
